Prepositional pronouns are the personal pronouns used as prepositional objects. That is to say, they are used after a preposition.

Most dialects of Italian especially in Rome and further north avoid these in modern usage. Instead the relationship is implied with direct and indirect objects. However they are still important to learn, especially if you plan on traveling to the south.
