Goa

The official language of Goa is Konkani, being the mother tongue of roughly 60% of the population of the state, but it is still spoken throughout India as well. Marathi (19% of the population) is the second most widely spoken and it’s used for official purposes.

Portuguese, which was the official language in the past, is spoken nowadays only by the older population, who was educated in this language. In the state Hindi, Kannada and Urdu are also spoken, as is English, which is taught in schools.
