Benelux

Benelux refers to the union of the the neighboring European countries Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. While today the term is used mostly to refer to the economic and cultural ties between the three countries, historically the Benelux Union dates back to customs agreements made between the three countries in 1944 establishing a common economy.
